Bruce Conte - Guitar, Vocals
|
Bruce Conte was the lead guitarist with Tower of Power beginning with their third album, 'Tower of Power', and continuing on through the 'We Came To Play' album.
It is Bruce's guitar work that graces recordings such as 'What Is Hip?', 'Don't Change Horses in the Middle of a Stream' and 'Squib Cakes'.
Over the past few years, Bruce has been splitting his time between his solo recording, performing as a solo performer with his own band, often in Las Vegas and Southern California. As well he has been touring with Al McKay's Earth Wind & Fire Experience.
June 10, 2006, it was announced that Bruce rejoined Tower of Power.
August 1, 2007: Bruce Conte leaves Tower of Power.
There have many questions about why Bruce departed. Based on his email comments directly to me, while he thoroughly enjoyed being back with Tower, the heavy tour schedule didn't allow enough time for his pursuit of solo recording projects and producing other artists.
As well, this site posted information about Bruce's successor, Charlie Spikes, so you check that out, too.
