BIO: Born in Savannah, Georgia, Ellis Hall moved to Boston at the age of five, where he began his musical career singing in the church choir, and has been on a direct course for success ever since.
His first release as a solo artist was a 1983 version of "Every Little Bit Hurts," a Motown smash from the 60's. His talents have been showcased nationally and internationally, opening for many top performers such as The Temptations, Earth, Wind and Fire, Herbie Hancock, The Spinners and Natalie Cole.
Ellis has been featured as lead vocalist on the hit debut single, "What Does It Take" from the Kenny G double platinum "Duotones" album.
Ellis Hall is the featured lead vocalist one Tower of Power U.S. release, 'Power', as well as the import version of the same release, titled 'TOP'.
Ellis sings lead on the 2-hour DVD, Live at Iowa State.
His film, television, background vocal credits and commercials fill a very long list. In October 1992, he appeared on the award winning ABC TV show, "The Wonder Years," and in November (1998) he performed the closing theme on the recurring "Showtime" Larry Gelbart satrical documentary "Mastergate."
His CD, "The Spirit Lingers On... and On", features Ellis doing it all.... writing, producing, all instruments and vocals. The CD has a soulful range from Gospel to Soul to Soaring Folk to Funk. It captures everything that Ellis Hall has to offer.
