Rick Stevens recorded the first two Tower of Power albums, East Bay Grease and Bump City. It is his vocals that grace the classic, "You're Still A Young Man", the first song written by 'Doc' Kupka and Emilio Castillo.
In 1973, he had already recorded vocals on much of the third album, Tower of Power, when he left the band for personal reasons.
Tragically, some two and half years later, in a drug induced state, Rick would be responsible for deaths of two people. He was convicted of the crimes and is still incarcerated in the California prison system.
