Mike Bogart Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Trombone

Michael Bogart, originally from Michigan, currently resides in San Diego with his wife and daughter. He has been playing music professionally for 15 years, and trumpet since the age of 11. Michael also plays valve trombone and flugel horn and sings.

Michael graduated from the prestigious Interlochen Arts Academy where he received a Performing Arts diploma in 1986. After graduating Interlochen, he went on to attend the University of Miami in Florida as both a Classical Performance and Studio Music and Jazz major.

In 1988, Michael joined the U.S. Navy Band and became the lead trumpet and featured soloist with several of the Navy’s premiere performing ensembles. While in the Navy, he toured extensively throughout Asia and the Far East, performing for thousands--in cities such as Vladivostok, Russia; Shanghai, China; Manila, Philippines; and all over Australia.
